The Board would have the hearings proceed at the scheduled date, time and place.
The Board would have the hearings adjourned when Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning signal is issued, and the office of Secretariat will also be closed.
If the signal is lowered or cancelled at or before 6:00 a.m. on Monday to Friday, the Board will resume hearings at the scheduled time in the morning.
If the signal is lowered or cancelled between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or at 11:00 a.m. on Monday to Friday, the Board will resume hearing at the scheduled time in the afternoon. So, if you are scheduled to attend the Board that afternoon, you are required to attend the Board for the hearing in the same afternoon.
If the signal is lowered or cancelled after 11:00 a.m. on Monday to Friday, all hearings of the Board for the whole day will remain adjourned. If you are supposed to attend Board on that day, you are NOT required to attend the Board for the hearing.
If the signal is lowered or cancelled at or before 6:00 a.m. on Monday to Friday, the office of Secretariat will be opened as usual in the morning.
If the signal is lowered or cancelled between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or at 11:00 a.m. on Monday to Friday, the office of Secretariat will be re-opened at the usual time in the afternoon, i.e. 2:00 p.m.
If the signal is lowered or cancelled after 11:00 a.m. on Monday to Friday, subject to the circumstances prevailing at the time, the office of Secretariat may be re-opened in the afternoon as soon as practicable. However, the office of Secretariat will remain closed for the whole day if such signal is lowered or cancelled at or after 3:35 p.m. on Monday to Friday.
